About Hon. Christopher C. Kang'ombe
Christopher Kang’ombe is a visionary leader and experienced professional with a diverse background in governance, engineering, and economic policy development. With over 15 years of public service and a track record of excellence in the private sector, he is committed to advancing Zambia’s development.
Christopher holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management from the University of Zambia (2023-2024) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from the Copperbelt University (2004-2008). He has served as a Member of Parliament for Kamfinsa Constituency since 2021, where he contributes to critical parliamentary committees on Energy, ICT, and Local Government.
His governance journey includes serving as the Mayor of Kitwe (2016-2021) and President of the Local Government Association of Zambia, roles through which he championed local government advocacy and policy reform. Beyond governance, Christopher’s career spans roles as a Sales Engineer with Atlas Copco and Managing Director of Lupenga and Chris Services Ltd, providing technical solutions to Zambia’s largest mining companies.
Through his leadership, engineering expertise, and passion for sustainable development, Christopher continues to shape Zambia’s future.
